In this chapter, we study the conjugation of the irregular verb Timid = to come. In some grammars, it can also be found under the infinitive YIMI or IMAN.
As in the majority of languages, "irregular" verbs are among the most commonly used verbs in everyday language.
This verb has the particularity of having subject prefixes in the Past and Present General, in addition to or in place of the usual marks of tense, number, and person suffixed at the end of the verb.
There are 2 forms in the singular: forms ending in -imid correspond to the Northern dialect, while forms in -imaadday correspond to the Southern dialect.
We will see that the other tenses do not have subject prefixes.
